We usually try to do a few group activities during the fair. Lunch, dinner, desserts, or fun horse activities. We will take a few minutes on Sunday to discuss this further, so have your member brainstorm some ideas this week.
We will be having a potluck lunch on Friday during the horse show. The project will provide pulled pork, hot dogs, and corn on the cob. Families are asked to provide a side or drinks to share. Please sign up here -> Potluck
A few items or donations of money to purchase a fire pit are still needed for the project's Pie Auction donation. You can sign up here -->>Pie Auction Basket
Remember to add any additional classes for the show, fun classes or gymkhana show (if certified) soon - you can not add them during the show anymore.
Fair Cleanup: This coming Sunday at 9 am. Meet at the barns. Bring brooms, rakes, staple guns for decorations, Fair Boards, drills/screwdrivers, ladders, scissors, etc. Lunch is provided by the fair afterwards.
Fair Decorations: To keep with the Let the Good Times Grow theme this year, we are looking for lots of flowers for outside the barns - do you have any flower pots/baskets that have made it through the summer that we can borrow for the week? Please bring them along to the fair clean-up this Sunday. We promise they will get watered, and you can take them home the Sunday fair ends! We will have flower garlands and burlap to decorate the stalls (along with your boards). I will have the stall boards that haven't been picked up at Wednesday's workout and on Sunday.
Fair Arrival: Reminder that if your horse is housed outside of WI, you will need a health certificate to unload at the fair. You should also have your shot records and a copy of your current Coggins to give to Denise.
Denise is copied on this email. If you have fair specific questions, please feel free to contact her directly.
