Hi Everyone,
I wanted to provide a quick update regarding the Horseless Horse Buddy Program.
At this time, I have paired all qualified members who have met the current requirements and have shown active involvement in the project. Pairings were made based on the buddies we currently have available.
Still Looking for Buddies
We are always in need of more buddies. If you know anyone — or know someone who knows someone — involved with horses, please consider reaching out and asking if they would be willing to participate or know someone who might be a good fit.
For First-Year Members
If this is your first year, please don’t be discouraged.
This program depends heavily on volunteer availability, and while we weren’t able to pair everyone right now, that doesn’t mean opportunities won’t come up. If additional buddies become available, we will absolutely revisit pairings.
With the May 1 deadline for horse identification approaching, I know it can feel like time is tight. Just remember:
Pre-Fair is still an option
You can still participate in our open horse shows
There is a lot of value in taking time to learn and get comfortable first
Horses are a lot at the beginning — new terms, new expectations, new everything. It can feel overwhelming at first, but it truly gets easier with time, and building that foundation now can make a big difference later.
If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to talk through options, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We appreciate your patience and your commitment to the project
P.S. Don’t forget to join our private Facebook group, Barn Aisle Buzz — a great place to connect, ask questions, and share all things horse-related with fellow members. Group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1975544910020323
